Temperance - A figure, angelic and smiling, combines two elements in a flask. Fire and water, thesis and anti-thesis, the figure combines the opposites to make an entirely new substance. She understands that any two opposites can come together to make a stronger, third substance, given the right proportions. She stands in the middle, nor at one extreme or the other, as a sign of compromise and balance. She is optimistic in her sciences, she knows the substances and how to keep them in moderation.

The High Priestess - She stands in moonlight, beautiful and mysterious. The Magician stands opposite her, quiet and intense, where he once was loquacious. He watches her, either out of admiring or fear, though his expression betrays neither. She knows much more than she will ever tell, and beyond her curtain lies a world of knowledge that no one is ready for yet. She is a teacher, passing on hidden traditions, giving the intriguing few a glimpse into her secret ways. She is a seer who draws the curtain in front of your eyes. She knows that few are ready for the knowledge that she has to share.

I’ve had to stretch the interpretation of this one a bit, it fits the two more in appearance than in overall meaning of the cards.
